Commercial Real Estate

Since the beginning of our law firm, we have supported companies operating in the commercial space market. We are referred to by many clients in this sector as the “law firm for difficult cases”.
We supported a client in the expansion of one of the largest shopping centres in Poland, which required the resolution of a number of legal issues, in particular with regard to administrative proceedings, as well as the preparation and negotiation of the contract with the general contractor.
We also represented an English owner of a shopping centre chain in a dispute with an important tenant, and supported them in the expansion of one of the shopping centres in their portfolio by, among other things, participating in the procedure concerning the adoption of a local master development plan. For the same client, we also provided legal services for the management of five shopping centres through leases and tenant disputes.

We are also pleased to count a German real estate fund among our clients. Its retail project, carried out in cooperation with us, required filling the retail space with tenants after a significant expansion of one of its shopping centres.

In addition to this, our track record also includes numerous examples of advising clients in connection with the acquisition as well as disposal of commercial properties. In these types of transactions, we also carry out legal due diligence and an in-depth analysis of factors that may affect the subsequent financial benefits and cooperation with tenants.

We can also proudly report an administrative court case concluded in our client’s favour, in which we succeeded in challenging and then achieving a reduction of the perpetual usufruct fee. We have also won a number of successful lawsuits in which we represented landlords against tenant claims during the pandemic period.
